Privacy Policy

Last updated: 15 October 2026

UPSC A2Z is free to use, and you don't need an account. If you choose to sign in, we save your study progress so it follows you across devices. This page explains, in plain words, what we keep, why, and how to get it deleted.

What we collect

If you don't sign in, we don't collect anything about you ourselves. Your progress stays in your own browser (see "Cookies and local storage" below).

If you sign in, we collect:

For everyone, the site also uses basic analytics:

These two services may set their own cookies and collect things like your device type, browser, approximate location and the pages you view. They are run by Google and Microsoft under their own privacy policies.

Why we collect it

Where it is stored

Your account and study data are stored with Supabase, a database provider. Signing in with Google is handled by Google. We never see your Google password.

What we don't do

Cookies and local storage

The site uses your browser's local storage to save your progress, such as completed topics, revision flags and quiz scores, on your own device. If you clear your browser data, that saved progress can be lost unless you are signed in and it has been synced. Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity may also use cookies, as described above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

Deleting your data

You can ask us to delete your account and all the data linked to it. Email us at {{CONTACT_EMAIL}} from the address you signed in with, and tell us you want your account deleted.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your data, we will update this page and change the "Last updated" date at the top.
